Colombia is the country in the world second only to Brazil in production. The queen of the coffee kingdom, Colombia is a natural mecca for coffee growth. Colombia is trisected by three Cordillas, or mountain ranges affording ample altitude for the finest coffee trees. The soils of Colombia are richly fertile and being located so close to the equator sustains a steady, stable climate. All of these components create an area ideal for coffee production.

Colombian coffee varieties are named for the provenance from which they are marketed. The most renowned being Medillin, Aremenia, Manzaus, Huilo and Bogota.  The highest grade of the Colombian bean is the Supremo. The Supremo is high altitude grown on small farm holdings, carefully hand picked and wet processed.
