This coffee comes from the famous Tarrazu region of the island of Costa Rica.  We have consistently purchased our green beans from the plantations in this area not only because of the cultural capital the name recognition affords, but because the quality of this bright bean is consistently good. 

Our standard Costa Rican is from the plantations of Dota Tarrazu: it is a lively little bean, typically well-tempered acidity and an aroma that is irresistible.
