Coffee Frappé à la Date

If you've ever had a bowl of café au lait, you can imagine the satisfying richness of this nutritious coffee frappé. There is a point where the balance of milk and coffee is heavenly. Add a touch of natural sweetness and nutrition from dates, and this delicious coffee frappé could very well become your go-to beverage when you need to rush out the door in the morning. And the good news is, if you leave a bit of coffee in the pot every morning, you're already on your way to this invigorating coffee drink. Just pour that leftover coffee in ice trays and you're half way there. 

In a blender, combine 1 cup of milk or soy milk with 1 cup of coffee ice cubes (Organic Espresso Roast is ideal), and 4 pitted dates. Whirl until smooth. Share or drink half now and save the rest for later. You'll be glad you did!
